Party Planning Guide
Planning a kids' birthday party can be fun and sometimes stressful! Here are some tips for making
party planning painless and enjoyable.
Pick a date and time - It's probably wise to plan at least 4-6 weeks in advance so that you can be sure most of the
guests will be able to attend.
Decide on a venue - Will you have your party at home or not? Other possible venues include parks, bowling alleys, kids'
gyms, amusement/water parks, bounce places, etc.
Pick a party theme - With more than 100 party themes available your choices are almost unlimited. Let your child
guide you.
Choose decorations - You can buy matching decorations for any party theme or get creative and make some of your
own. Rent or buy a helium tank for balloon fun.
Create the guest list - Decide how many kids to invite, create your guest list and send out your invites. Be sure to
include an RSVP phone number, email address and date.
Decide what games to play - There are so many great classic party games that you can vary to fit your own party
theme. Pinatas are always a lot of fun also.
Create party favors - Favors are always a big hit with kids and they don't have to be expensive. Stickers, bubbles,
pencils and candy are great for both boys and girls.
Pick the food - Will you serve pizza and cake (an all-time favorite) or create your own fun kids' menu with little
sandwiches, chips, cupcakes, etc.?
Decide on a cake - Will you make your own birthday cake or order one? If you want to make your own birthday cake visit
